Dome Lamp - Removal

NOTE: The dome lamp may include two switches that allow independent switching of the two lamps for use as reading lamps or to override the door ajar switch activation of these lamps. Also, on vehicles equipped with the Blue And Me option, the dome lamp may include an integral microphone. If the switches, the lamp wiring or the microphone are damaged or ineffective, the entire dome lamp unit must be replaced.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Carefully insert a trim stick or another suitable wide flat bladed tool between the dome lamp unit (2) housing and the mounting bracket (1) on the headliner.
3. Gently and evenly pry the lamp downward until the retainers unsnap from the mounting bracket.
4. Pull the lamp away from the mounting bracket far enough to access and disconnect the wire harness connector from the back of the lamp. If equipped, also disconnect the wire harness connector from the Blue And Me microphone.
5. Remove the lamp from the vehicle.
