Tail Stop Turn Lamp Bulb - Installation

CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.






NOTE: Each rear lamp unit contains either three or four bulbs. Vehicles manufactured for markets where rear fog lamps are not required have three bulbs, which are: backup, park/stop and turn signal. The rear lamp units for vehicles manufactured for markets where rear fog lamps are required have four bulbs, which are: dedicated backup in the right rear lamp unit only, dedicated park in each rear lamp unit, dedicated rear fog in the left rear lamp unit only, dedicated stop in each rear lamp unit and dedicated turn signal in each rear lamp unit. The service procedures for each bulb are the same, only the bulb sizes and types may differ.

1. Align the base of the bulb (2) with the appropriate receptacle in the socket plate (1).
2. Push the bulb straight into the socket plate until the base is firmly seated.
3. Align the socket plate and bulbs with the openings on the back of the rear lamp lens and housing (3).
4. Insert the bulbs into the housing until the socket plate is firmly seated.





5. Install and tighten the four screws (1) that secure the socket plate to the back of the lens and housing. Tighten the screws securely.
6. Reinstall the rear lamp unit onto the end of the quarter panel. Tail Stop Turn Lamp - Installation.
7. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
