C514 Manual Transaxle - Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Install the transaxle to vehicle using a suitable transmission jack.
2. Install the nut (1) and the stud (2) tighten to 60 Nm (44ft. lbs.).
3. Install the remaining transmission bell housing bolts (3) tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the rear transmission mount bracket bolt, nut and bracket to transmission tighten the bolt to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the rear transmission mount bolt (1) nut and mount (2) to the frame tighten the bolt to 130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the left side mount. Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7. Install left lower frame extension (1) with four bolts and washers (2) tightened to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the left vertical brace with two bolts (1) tightened to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
9. Install the Front Fascia Front Bumper Fascia - Installation.
10. Install the halfshaftsHalf Shaft - Removal.
11. Install the cross car cradle brace (1). Tighten the bolts to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.)
12. Install the belly pan if equipped Belly Pan - Installation.
13. Lower the vehicle.
14. Install the upper starter bolts. Tighten to 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.)
15. Install upper bell housing bolts and tighten to 60 Nm (44ft. lbs.
16. Connect the oxygen sensor wire to the loom/clip.
17. Connect selector cable (1) to the lever.
18. Connect the cable to the mounting bracket.
19. Connect the cable to the mounting bracket.
20. Connect the shift cable (1) to the lever.
21. Re-position the slave cylinder and install the bolts. Tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
22. Connect reverse lamp switch connector (2).
23. Install the ground strap at the transmission.
24. Install air cleaner assembly Air Cleaner - Installation.
25. Install the battery tray Battery Tray - Installation.
26. Check the transmission fluid levels and correct as needed Service and Repair.
27. Road test vehicle and inspect for leaks.
