B1001-62-RKE FOB - SIGNAL COMPARE FAILURE

Theory of Operation

The RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) Fobs' secret key code does not match the secret key code stored in the Body Control Module.

- When Monitored:
Continuously whenever the Body Control Module (BCM) is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the secret key in the RKE Fob that is in the ignition switch does not match the one that is stored in the BCM, this code will set.





TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
2. Be sure the ignition is on.
3. Wait 30 seconds.
4. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

Does the scan tool display; B1001-62-RKE FOB - SIGNAL COMPARE FAILURE?

Yes

- Replace and program the RKE Fob.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. The RKE Fob that set this code is not present in the ignition at this time.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
