B11A7-62-VTM SYS BLOCK - SIGNAL COMPARE FAILURE

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

No CAN B concerns present.

- Set Condition:
During ignition on, the Vehicle Tracking Module (VTM) status response to the Body Control Module (BCM) equals block.





1. VERIFY DTC IS ACTIVE

NOTE: Make sure the battery voltage is between 10 and 16 volts before proceeding.

1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Turn the ignition on and wait five seconds.
4. With the scan tool, read active DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. CHECK FOR DTCS IN THE VTM
1. With the scan tool, read the VTM DTCs.

Are any DTCs present?

Yes

- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Testing and Inspection

No

- Go To 3

3. CHECK VTM STATUS WITH SERVICE PROVIDER
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Request that the customer contact the service provider to send the unblock command.
3. Attempt to start the vehicle.

Does the vehicle start?

Yes

- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the VTM.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
