P1D6D-AGS CIRCUIT OVER TEMPERATURE

- When Monitored:
With the engine running and battery voltage between 11.0 and 16.0 volts.

- Set Condition:
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives a message from the Active Grill Shutter Actuator that the internal actuator temperature is above 165°C (329°F) for 15.0 seconds. Two trip fault.





Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding.

1. ACTIVE DTC
1. Start the engine.
2. With the scan tool read DTCs.

Is the DTC Active at this time?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Intermittent Condition Test.

2. CHECK THE ACTIVE GRILL SHUTTER FOR AN OBSTRUCTION
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Visually inspect for signs of any possible obstructions of the Active Grill Shutter.

Were any problems found?

Yes

- Repair the obstruction and retest for an active fault.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Active Grill Shutter Actuator. Navigate to Miscellaneous functions and perform the 'Active Grille Shutter Replaced' procedure.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.
