P1D80-INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE EEPROM ERROR

Theory of Operation

This is an internal fault detection of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

- When Monitored:
Key is ON a program is run to detect an internal fault.

- Set Condition:
The control module has detected an internal malfunction.





Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting Procedure.
ACTIVE DTC

NOTE: Diagnose any system low voltage DTCs before continuing.

1. Ignition on, vehicle in ready mode.
2. Using the scan tool, program the module.
3. With the scan tool, select View DTCs.

Does the DTC reset?

Yes

- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). PCM/ECM Reprogramming.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.

No

- Test is complete.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.
