Heated Seat Switch - Operation
OPERATION
The two front heated seat switches are momentary, push button switches that provide a request signal to the Body Control Module (BCM), over hard-wired circuits. When a heated seat switch is pressed, the BCM energizes the heated seat relay, which supplies battery voltage to the heated seat elements for the selected seat. Light Emitting Diodes (LED) in each switch indicate when in use. The LED in the switches are controlled by the BCM.
The front heated seat switches are diagnosed using a scan tool A L L Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC ).
The front heated seat switches cannot be adjusted or repaired and if a switch or its LED is damaged or inoperative, the entire lower accessory switch pod must be replaced Instrument Cluster Switch Pod - Removal.
