Cylinder Head - Inspection

INSPECTION






NOTE: Typical Cylinder Head shown.

1. Check for cylinder head warping with a straight edge (2) and feeler gauge (1).
2. Cylinder head must be flat within specification Engine Specifications.
3. Remove carbon and varnish deposits from inside of valve guides with a reliable guide cleaner.
4. Inspect the following components and verify that they are within specification Engine Specifications:
- Springs
- Valve Seats
- Valve Guides
- Valves
