Water Pump - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Clean the mating surfaces (2).





2. Apply a strip of silicone sealant to the contact surfaces between the water pump and the engine block.
3. Position pump onto the engine block.
4. Install the mounting bolts and nut. Tighten to 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.)
5. Rotate pump by hand to check for freedom of movement.





6. Install the timing belt (1).
7. Evacuate air and fill the cooling system Service and Repair.
