Low Beam Bulb - Installation

BULB - LOW BEAM

CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.

CAUTION: Do not contaminate the bulb glass by touching it with your fingers or by allowing it to contact other oily surfaces. Shortened bulb life will result.

NOTE: The upper front combination lamp unit combines the low beam headlamp bulb and the turn signal lamp bulb in a single lamp unit. This lamp is used only on vehicles manufactured for sale in Mexico and Latin America and replaces the headlamp unit used on vehicles manufactured for sale in the United States and Canada.





1. Grasp the low beam bulb (2) by the metal base and align the terminals with the bulb socket (1).
2. Push the bulb into the socket until the base is firmly seated.
3. Align the bulb and socket with the seat in the headlamp reflector.
4. Insert the bulb and socket into the seat until the latch tab (3) snaps into place.
5. Reinstall the protective rubber boot over the lower opening on the back of the upper front combination lamp unit housing.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
