BULB

NOTE: In all vehicles, the upper cavity of the lower front combination lamp unit contains the front park, clearance, position and Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) bulb. In vehicles manufactured for the United States and Canada the lower cavity of the lower front combination lamp contains a turn signal lamp bulb. In vehicles manufactured for sale in the Mexico and Latin America, the lower cavity of the lower front combination lamp unit contains the high beam headlamp bulb. Other than the high beam headlamp bulb, the service procedures for each bulb are the same, only the bulb sizes and types may differ.

EXCEPT HIGH BEAM HEADLAMP BULB

CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.






NOTE: The front lamp unit contains a clear bulb in the upper cavity for the clearance (park) lamps and Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) functions, and an amber bulb in the lower cavity for the front turn signal functions. The service procedures for each bulb are the same, only the bulb sizes and types may differ.

1. Align the base of the bulb with the appropriate bulb socket (1) or (2 - United States and Canada only).
2. Push the bulb straight into the socket until the base is firmly seated.
3. Align the socket and bulb with the keyed opening on the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing.
4. Insert the socket and bulb into the housing until the socket is firmly seated.
5. Rotate the socket clockwise about 30 degrees to lock it into place.





6. On U.S. and Canada market vehicles, position the cover (1) onto the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing. Rotate the cover clockwise to lock it into place.
7. On Mexico and Latin America market vehicles, reinstall the protective rubber boot onto the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing.





8. Reinstall the access door (2) into the front of the front wheel house splash shield (1).
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Reconnect the battery negative cable.

HIGH BEAM HEADLAMP BULB - MEXICO AND LATIN AMERICA ONLY

CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.

CAUTION: Do not contaminate the bulb glass by touching it with your fingers or by allowing it to contact other oily surfaces. Shortened bulb life will result.





1. Align the base of the bulb (1) with the bulb socket (2).
2. Push the bulb straight into the socket until the base is firmly seated.
3. Align the socket and bulb with the keyed opening on the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing.
4. Insert the socket and bulb into the housing until the socket is firmly seated.





5. Engage the retainers (2) that secure the bulb and socket (1) to the reflector within the lamp housing.
6. Reinstall the protective rubber boot onto the back of the lower front combination lamp unit housing.





7. Reinstall the access door (2) into the front of the front wheel house splash shield (1).
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
