Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) Module - Installation






INSTALLATION





1. Position the Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) Module (1) on body, install mounting nuts (2) and tighten to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect wiring harness connector (3) at the TPM Module (1).
3. Install passenger rear wheelhouse splash shield and all components removed to access it Splash Shield - Installation.
4. If this is the first time this TPM Module is being installed on this vehicle, the Proxy Alignment procedure must be performed with the scan tool. This is part of the TPM Diagnostic Verification Test that is performed in the next step.
5. Perform one of the following to make the system learn the new sensor ID:
a. Use the TPM-RKE Analyzer 9936, with the Scan Tool to program the TPM Module with the tire pressure sensor ID. This is part of the TPM Diagnostic Verification Test TPM Verification.
b. Once the vehicle has remained stationary for more than 20 minutes, drive vehicle for a minimum of 20 minutes while maintaining a continuous speed above 15 mph (24 km/h). During this time, the system will learn the new sensor ID. This is part of the TPM Diagnostic Verification Test TPM Verification.
