1. With the use of a grinder equipped with a 50 grit grinding disc, remove all contaminants and coatings off of the mating surfaces within 25mm (1in.) of the area where Betamate was originally applied. The metal should be completely bare and shiny in appearance, if the metal appears pewter in color all of the galvanized coating has not been removed.
2. Pre-fit panels into place, to ensure a proper fit.
3. Remove the components and then apply a 10mm (3/8in.) bead of Lords Fusor(R) 112B or equivalent, ensuring the mating surfaces are completely covered.
4. Clamp tightly into place, using welding clamps or equivalent.
5. Use a spot welder to apply Resistance Type Spot Welds at double the weld pitch (twice as many welds as originally used) as they are before and after the zone.
6. Once adhesive has completely cured apply quality topcoats to the exposed areas.
7. Inject Mopar Cavity wax kit (part #68042969AA), Mopar wax refill (part #68042970AA) or equivalent, to the inner cavity. A double application should be applied. Allow a minimum of 30-minutes flash time between the first and second coats.
