Engine Cooling Radiator - Removal



REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine cover and the air intake assembly (1).
3. Remove the engine cover and the air intake assembly (1).







4. ABARTH ONLY: Disconnect the two vacuum fittings (4), loosen the clamp (3) at the air to turbocharger inlet tube.
5. ABARTH ONLY: Disconnect the fresh air intake hose (2).
6. ABARTH ONLY: Remove the air cleaner assembly (1).
7. Drain the cooling system.







NOTE: Do not remove the mounting bolts for the cooling fan. The fan will be removed with the radiator.

8. Remove the upper radiator hose.
9. Disconnect the cooling fan resistor.







10. Disconnect the cooling fan wire harness connector (3).
11. Raise the vehicle.
12. Remove the front bumper fascia.
13. Remove the lower radiator hose.
14. Partially lower the vehicle.







15. Remove the front bumper support (1).
16. Remove the upper seal (4).
17. Remove the lower seal (3).
18. If equipped, remove the turbo intercooler tube that is below the core support.







19. Evacuate the A/C system.
20. Remove the A/C condenser from the cooling module.







21. Remove the lower radiator mounting (5) bracket bolts (3) from the lower cooling module support (4).
22. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.







23. Remove the mounting bolts (1) that secure the cooling fan assembly (2) to the radiator.
