A limited number of 1983 vehicles may exhibit a vehicle "Dog Tracking" condition (rear axle not parallel to front axle). This condition may be the result of a rear spring center bolt being mislocated.

The rear spring center bolt location should be checked on both springs to determine if there is an out-ofspecification condition present. The specified distance between the main leaf spring center bolt and the forward spring eye (measured along the radius of the main leaf) is shown in Figure 12. If the vehicle has a spring with an incorrect dimension, the spring should be replaced.
