FAST IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT
- Place the transmission in Park (automatic) or Neutral (manual).
- Bring the engine to normal operating temperature.
- Disconnect the vacuum hose at the EGR valve and plug.
- Disconnect the vacuum hoses at the thermactor air bypass valve and plug (manual transmission only).
- Disconnect the vacuum signal hose at the EVAP purge valve and plug.



- Place the fast idle adjustment mechanism on top step of fast idle cam. Check/adjust fast idle rpm to specification. Specifications
- Remove the plug from the EGR vacuum hose and reconnect.
- Remove the plug from the thermactor air bypass valve hose, reconnect.
- Remove the plug from the vacuum signal hose and reconnect to the EVAP purge valve.
