ANTI-RATTLE CLIP
Removal
1. Remove steering column from vehicle.
2. Remove turn signal, wiper/washer switch and upper steering shaft bearing.
3. Pull steering shaft assembly out from lower end of tube.
4. Place an alignment mark on upper steering shaft and lower steering shaft.
5. Separate upper and lower steering shafts.
6. Remove and discard anti-rattle clips.
Installation
1. Install new anti-rattle clips onto upper steering shaft.
2. Coat lower 6 inches of steering column upper shaft with a suitable lubricant.
3. Place steering column lower shaft into a suitable vise. Install upper shaft onto lower shaft. Ensure marks placed during removal are aligned properly.
4. Insert steering shaft into bottom end of outer tube.
5. Install turn signal and wiper/washer switch onto steering column.
6. Install steering column into vehicle.
