A/T - A4LD No 4th Gear/Overdrive Planetary Carrier

TSB 87-53 (Sept)

SUBJECT: FORD A4LD

PROBLEM: No 4th gear

CAUSE: May be a broken overdrive planetary carrier.

Inspect by installing the input shaft into the overdrive planetary carrier.




If the input shaft can be turned either direction, while holding the overdrive planetary carrier stationary, the overdrive planetary carrier is broken.

The part number for the overdrive planetary carrier is E5TZ-7B446-A
