Binds in Park
A binding condition in "Park" (it feels like the transmission is in gear) is usually caused by a manual control valve that is out of position.
If the manual control valve is allowed to move beyond the "Park" position it will apply the forward clutch.
Use the following procedure to check the manual valve position:
Step 1: Put the shift lever in the D2 position.
Step 2: Move the shift lever to the "Park" position. Distance "A" should be .490" - .500". If not, bend the rooster comb stop.
