ISSUE: The torque specification for the lower intake manifold to cylinder head attaching bolts is incorrect as published. The affected Shop Manuals are the 1987-88 Car Shop Manual, Volume D, 1985-88 Ranger/Bronco II Shop Manual and the 1986-87 Aerostar Shop Manual.

ACTION: If service is required, torque the lower intake manifold to cylinder head attaching bolts to 20-29 ft.lbs. (26-38 N-m). This information should be inserted in your Shop Manuals for future reference.
