BUMPER - PAINTING PROCEDURE FOR SERVICE Article No.

LIGHT TRUCK: 1986-88 AEROSTAR

ISSUE: Front and rear service replacement plastic bumpers are pre-painted with the production color graphite (gray). On some vehicles the service bumpers will have to be painted to match.

ACTION: If service is required, use the following approved procedure and materials. Refer to the color chart on this page for the correct bumper cover color.

1. Scuff sand the entire area to be painted. DO NOT SAND THROUGH THE COLOR COAT.

2. Blow off dust, tack wipe and wash with soap and water.

NOTE: Mask back side of bumper to protect unpainted areas during painting.

3. Mix R-M Flex Agent No. 891 with R-M Acrylic Enamel/Miracryl No. 2. Follow directions on container labels.

CAUTION: Follow all "CAUTION" notes on containers.

4. Apply paint and allow at least two (2) hours drying time.
