SEAT BELT - INADEQUATE WEBBING LENGTH - RIGHT HAND SIDE


LIGHT TRUCK 1987 AEROSTAR

Webbing length on the right hand seat belt assembly may be inadequate to comfortably accommodate some passengers on 1987 vehicles built prior to 8/4/86.

Inadequate belt length on the right hand seat belt assembly can be corrected by installing a new seat belt and retractor assembly. The new front seat belt and retractor assembly will have an extra 230 mm (approximately 9 inches) added to the webbing length. Refer to Section 76-04 in the Aerostar Shop Manual on removal and installation procedures of seat belts.
