LIGHT TRUCK: 1987-90 AEROSTAR


ISSUE: An inoperative or binding front door window may be caused by the window regulator. The power window regulator motor may be inoperative due to water entry or gear lock-up.

ACTION: Install a new drive and regulator assembly. The new components have water resistant motor seals and cushion gears. Refer to the following procedure for service details.

1. Remove the regulator assembly and throw it away. Refer to the appropriate model year Aerostar Shop Manual for service details.




2. Install a new regulator and drive assembly in the front doors. Refer to the appropriate model year Aerostar Shop Manual for installation.
