Windshield Wiper and Washer System

These windshield wipers are actuated by a permanent magnet, rotary type electric motor. The two wiper arms and blades are mounted on a pivot shaft, one at each side of windshield. The pivot shafts are connected to the motor by linkage arms and attaching clip. Both the standard and interval wiper and washer systems on Bronco II and Ranger feature a steering column mounted lever-type switch. On Aerostar, the standard and interval wiper/washer system feature an instrument panel mounted slide-type wiper/washer control switch.
