Troubleshooting
STANDARD WIPERSWhen testing for voltage, carefully pierce wire insulation with test prod.
High Speed Test
1. Turn ignition switch on and turn wiper switch to high position.
2. Check for voltage at circuit 56 (blue/orange wire) and circuit 63 (red wire).
3. If there is voltage on both circuits, ground motor case to body. If motor runs, repair ground. If motor does not run, replace motor.
4. If voltage is present in circuit 63 only, replace wiper switch.
5. If there is no voltage at either circuit, trace circuit back to source.
Low Speed Test
1. Turn ignition switch on and turn wiper switch to low position.
2. Check for voltage at circuit 58 (white wire).
3. If there is no voltage, trace circuit back to source.
4. If there is voltage, ground motor case to body. If motor runs, repair ground. If motor does not run, replace motor.
Park Operation Test
1. Turn ignition switch on and turn wiper switch to off position.
2. Check for voltage at circuits 58 (white wire), 28 (blue/pink wire), and 63 (red wire).
3. If there is voltage on all 3 circuits and wiper blades are not parked, ground motor case to body. If wipers park, repair ground. If wipers do not park, replace motor.
4. If there is voltage only at circuit 63, replace motor.
5. If there is voltage at circuits 63 and 28, replace wiper switch.
