Throttle Body: Service and Repair

V6-177 Engine

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from throttle positioner sensor.
3. Remove air inlet duct.
4. Remove snow and ice shield to gain access to throttle linkage, then disconnect throttle cable from ball stud.
5. Disconnect air bypass, PCV and canister purge hoses from fitting beneath throttle body.
6. Remove throttle body-to-upper intake manifold attaching bolts and the throttle body.
7. Remove and discard throttle body gasket from manifold.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque throttle body attaching bolts to 71 - 102 inch lbs.
