High Pressure Pump
The high pressure fuel pump is frame mounted and can be accessed from under the vehicle.
The fuel pump assembly is retained to the frame with three bolts. Before removing the high pressure fuel pump, disconnect battery ground cable, then relieve fuel system pressure using fuel pressure gauge T80L-9974-A or equivalent on the feeler diagnostic valve, or by opening the electrical circuit to the fuel pump and cranking the engine for a minimum of 20 seconds.
Low Pressure Pump
The low pressure pump is located in the fuel tank and may require lowering or removal of the fuel tank. With fuel tank lowered, if necessary, disconnect battery ground cable and pump electrical connector. Remove locking ring then the pump.
