FURTHER TO THE REFERENCED TRANSMITTAL, ENCLOSED ARE ADVANCE BULLETIN COPIES FOR SERVICE RECALL 88S39 - SUPPLEMENT I. THIS BULLETIN CONTAINS SERVICE INFORMATION FOR MODIFYING AND RELEASING FOR SALE/DELIVERY THOSE VEHICLES WHICH ARE ON DELIVERY HOLD. ORDER YOUR PARTS REQUIREMENTS FROM WIXOM.

Safety Recall 88S39, Supplement I - Delivery Hold Units - Front End Shimmy
REFERENCE:
Telexes dated January 12 and February 10 to involved dealers announcing delivery hold.
VEHICLES AFFECTED
Certain 1987/88 F-350 4 x 2 Trucks and Chassis Cabs with Dual Rear Wheels, on delivery hold, built through January 6, 1988.
REASON FOR THIS RECALL
These vehicles may develop a severe front-end shimmy that eventually could damage vehicle components and could result in loss of steering control.

Loss of steering control could result in a vehicle crash.
PLEASE NOTE
This recall must be completed before the vehicle is removed from delivery hold.

Loaner or rental vehicles are not provided for this recall supplement.

Additional information will be released for customer's trucks, without severe shimmy, approximately April 15, 1988.
