ISSUE: The wheel lug nut torque specification reference in the maintenance schedule charts is incorrect. The affected pages are 10-02-5 and 10-02-6 of the 1989 Light Duty Truck Shop Manual, Volume 1. Reference should be made to the Shop Manual itself on page 11-02-7. Also on page 11-02-4, under Wheel Inspection And Maintenance, the same reference to the Shop Manual should be indicated.

ACTION: Refer to the pages following this TSB article for the revised information on reference to the Shop Manual specifications.
