Test 7, Ignition Coil & Secondary Wire
1. Disconnect ignition coil electrical connector and inspect for dirt, corrosion or damage.
2. Connect ignition coil connector to a known good ignition coil.
3. Connect one end of a known good secondary wire to the spark tester and other end to known good coil.
4. Crank engine. Do not hold coil while performing this test. Dangerously high voltage may be present.
5. If spark was present, measure resistance of ignition coil wire and replace if greater than 7000 ohms per foot. If satisfactory, replace vehicle coil.
