LIGHT TRUCK: 1989-91 F-250, F-350

ISSUE: A brake vibration/shudder may occur during light to moderate brake stops and at snubs (quick application of brakes without completely stopping) between 55 and 25 mph (89 and 40 km/h). A list of diagnostic service tips in sequential steps has been developed to help resolve vibration/shudder concerns induced by the rear brakes.

ACTION: Determine if the vibration/shudder is caused by the rear brakes by making a light stop from about 45 to 25 mph (72 to 40 km/h). Use the parking brake, while holding the release handle out. If the vibration/shudder continues during parking brake applications, refer to the following Cause And Resolution Chart for corrective service action.
