LIGHT TRUCK:
1990-96 F-150-350 SERIES

ISSUE:
The tailgate may "squeak and/or rattle" when going over bumps. This may be due to the LH tailgate hinge bracket contacting the tailgate and creating noise.

ACTION:
Install a plastic insert between the LH metal hinge bracket and the tailgate to reduce the possibility of noise. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove the tailgate from the vehicle. Refer to the appropriate F-Series Service Manual Tailgate - Removal And Installation Procedure for details.

2. Press the plastic insert (F6TZ-99430B23-AA) onto the LH tailgate hinge bracket.

3. Reinstall the tailgate following the service procedure outlined in the Service Manual.
