Affected Vehicles

Certain 1990 F-Series light trucks equipped with dual fuel tanks built from July 24 thru August 1, 1989 at the Michigan Truck Plant.

Reasons For Recall

The fuel line assembly connectors (fuel supply and return line) on a small number of these trucks may be crossed. If this condition exists, there is a potential to transfer fuel from one tank to the other possibly resulting in fuel overflow and spillage during engine operation. In the presence of an ignition source, a vehicle fire could occur.
