HEADLAMP - HEADLAMP HOUSING MELTS - AMBULANCE AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES ONLY

LIGHT TRUCK:
1992-96 BRONCO, F-150, F-250 LD 1992-97 F SUPER DUTY, F-250 HD, F-350

ISSUE:
The front headlamp housing may melt or distort on some Ambulance and/or Emergency vehicles. This may be caused by the headlamp high beam flashing for signaling purposes in an on-off manner which may build up heat within the headlamp housing.

ACTION:
Replace the headlamp housing with a housing which has a revised material to withstand the higher temperatures generated by the flashing of the headlamps on emergency vehicles. Refer to the appropriate year F-Series/Bronco Service Manual, Section 17-01, for removal and installation procedures.

NOTE:
THESE PARTS ARE DESIGNED FOR USE IN AMBULANCE AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES WITH FLASHING HEADLAMPS ONLY. NON-EMERGENCY VEHICLES SHOULD CONTINUE TO USE THE F2TZ-13007-B(LH) AND F2TZ-13007-A(RH) ASSEMBLIES WHEN REQUIRED.
