Key Cylinder Lamp: Description and Operation

OPERATION
When the outside door handles are raised, the Illuminated Entry Module powers the courtesy lamps.

Lifting either door handle causes that Door Handle Switch to close, signaling the Illuminated Entry Timer to send current from Fuse 8 to the Courtesy Lamps. The times will turn the lamps off in about 25 seconds.

When the door is opened, the Courtesy Lamps are powered through the Door Courtesy Lamp Switch. With the Ignition Switch in "RUN" or "ACCY", the timer resets and the lamps go out.
