SEAT BED - REAR - DOES NOT LATCH IN THE STOWED UPRIGHT POSITION



LIGHT TRUCK:
1992 ECONOLINE


ISSUE:
The rear seat bed extension panel may not latch in the stowed upright position. This occurs because the extension panel striker may be bent or broken which prevents the rear seat bed extension panel from latching.

ACTION:
Install a new Rear Seat Bed Latch Assembly Service Kit. Refer to the Instruction Sheet included in the kit for installation details.



The Rear Seat Bed Latch Assembly Service Kit (F2UZ-16624B18-B) includes the following components.

^ One (1) extension panel repair bracket

^ One (1) rear seat back auxiliary latch assembly

^ Two (2) screws - M5 x 0.8 x 35.0 hex head

^ One (1) screw - M8 x 1.25 x 30.0 hex flange tap

^ One (1) screw - 6.3 x 1.81 x 16.0 mm

^ Two (2) spacers

^ One (1) roll pin

^ One (1) Instruction Sheet
