PARKING BRAKE - PARKING BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR WITH MINIMAL EFFORT - BRONCO AND F-SERIES BUILT THROUGH 4/22/1994 AND EXPLORER/RANGER BUILT THROUGH 5/13/1994

FORD:
1992-1994 BRONCO, F-150-350 SERIES
1993-1994 EXPLORER, RANGER

ISSUE
The parking brake pedal may go to the floor with little or no effort during application. This may occur because the adjustment pawl does not totally engage during rapid pedal application on occasion.

ACTION
Install a lock-in wedge in the parking brake control assembly. This locks the adjustment pawl in mesh with the sector. Refer to Service Recall Bulletin 94S91-S3 for detailed service part numbers, procedures, and diagrams. If the vehicle is listed as having 94S91 open, follow normal reporting procedures after completing the repair.
