Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

Air Cleaner And Fresh Air Duct:

PURPOSE
A pleated, chemically treated, water resistant air filter is used to remove dust, dirt, and most moisture from the incoming air.

OPERATION
Fresh outside air travels through the intake tube assembly into the air cleaner assembly. The air is then filtered, and flows into the intake manifold.

CONSTRUCTION
The air cleaner assembly consists of an intake tube and a housing assembly containing the air filter. The air cleaner housing is equipped with a water drain hose. The entire assembly is held to the intake manifold with a wing bolt.
