Starting System: Description and Operation

The Starting System for the 7.3L diesel engine is similar to that of the gasoline engine.

With the Ignition Switch in START, voltage is applied to the Wait To Start Indicator, which is grounded by the Glow Plug Controller. See GLOW PLUG CONTROL for Glow Plug Control's circuit operation.
