DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE - CHECK LIST
Check for loose, damaged or excessively worn parts. Visually inspect the front suspension for loose or worn components (i.e., ball joints, radius arm bushings, radius arm attachments at the axle and frame, alignment adjusters, steering linkage, tires, etc.). Repair or replace as required.

NOTE:
THE FOLLOWING CHECK LIST SHOULD BE COMPLETED AFTER EACH STEP OF THE DIAGNOSTIC, WHERE APPLICABLE.
SERVICE/DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. Tire Mismatch / Tire Circumference
___ Unlocked hubs check.
___ Front tires swapped side to side.
2. Alignment
___ Unlocked hubs check.
Toe changed to ___.
Caster changed and split is ___.
Camber changed and split is ___.
3. Steering Gear Mesh Load
___ Re-set total on-center load to 15-20 lb.in. (1.7-2.3 N-m).
4. Recession Steer
___ Replacement of radius arm bracket rivets (F-Series).
___ Replacement of radius arm bushings (F-Series).
___ Fastener torque check (Bronco).
5. Brake Imbalance
___ Unlocked hubs check.
___ Front wheel rotational drag check.
___ Master cylinder check.
___ Piston retraction check.
___ Caliper to knuckle clearance.
___ Inner shoe side and end clearance.
___ Lubrication of the caliper rails and inner knuckle pad grooves.
___ Rotors turned and new linings.
___ Rear brakes checked.
___ Rear drums turned and shoes replaced.
6. Miscellaneous
___ Check for loose, damaged or worn parts (front suspension, front and rear axle attaching bolts, steering linkage, and tires).
