TRANSMISSION - AOD - VEHICLES WITH 5.0L ENGINE - ALTERNATE MAIN CONTROL

LIGHT TRUCK:
1992-93 ECONOLINE

ISSUE:
A temporary stock shortage may require use of an alternate main control to prevent vehicle down concern.

ACTION:
Install Main Control F1TZ-7A100-B if current Catalogue replacement Main Control F2UZ-7A100-A is out of stock. If test drive reveals other drive symptoms, refer to the following Service Procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Current cataloging indicates F2UZ-7A100-A as the replacement main control 1992-93 Econoline, 5.0L engine, AOD transmission. If this main control is out of stock, use F1TZ-7A100-B. using this alternate main control on some of the subject vehicles may cause customer concerns for early 3/4, 4/3 shifts or possible shift busyness. It should be noted during test drive evaluation if the vehicle experiences any of these symptoms. For those vehicles, notify the customer of this temporary repair and arrange for call back when parts are available. This alternate repair will not affect transmission durability.

CAUTION:
REFER TO THE PARTS CATALOGUE FOR PROPER GASKET USAGE. USING THE WRONG GASKETS MAY CAUSE SHIFT CONCERNS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY.

REMOVED MAIN CONTROL MUST BE RETURNED USING EXISTING CARTON TO:
