Description of On-Board Diagnostics

Prove Out system means to turn ignition switch from OFF to RUN and visually monitor the readiness (airbag) indicator. If airbag system is operating properly, indicator will illuminate for approximately six seconds, then turn off. If a fault is present in the system, the indicator will either fail to illuminate, remain illuminated continuously or flash a trouble code.
