^ THERMACTOR HOSE - NEW SERVICE TOOL FOR CLAMP REMOVAL

ISSUE:
New style "crimp clamps" have been incorporated in production to secure thermactor hoses. A new crimping plier has been developed to assist in removal of the new style "crimp clamp". The new tool incorporates a formed pincher head to make clamp removal easier.

ACTION:





Remove thermactor clamps using the new crimping plier desirable tool, refer to Figure 1. The tool can be ordered from Owatanna Tool Co. (OTC) under part number D93T-1099-A. Call OTC Ford Order Desk: 1-800-533-5338.

THIS TOOL IS NOT MANDATORY, BUT IS DESIRABLE FOR SERVICE.

For field service repairs, a conventional style, stainless steel, worm drive hose clamp may be used to reconnect hoses. Worm drive clamps must conform to Ford specifications. Refer to parts list for proper clamp.
