KB5 - Check CANP Valve Electro-Mechanical Operation

- Still in Output State test mode, reconnect the Canister Purge (CANP) valve.

- Vacuum 54 kPa (16 in Hg) applied to CANP solenoid input port.

- Depress and release throttle.

- Is vacuum released?

Yes -- Remove jumper wire. Remove vacuum pump. Go to KB6. KB6 - Check For Vacuum to CANP Valve Input Port

No -- Remove jumper wire. Replace CANP valve assembly. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
