NOTE: Special Tool Required. MAP/BP Sensor Tester 105-00001. This tool converts the frequency output of the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) / Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor to analog DC signal, and verifies the sensor reference voltage is within normal parameters.

NOTE: Green light reaffirms that VREF is OK (4-6 volts). Red light (or no light) indicates VREF is either too low or too high.

- Key "ON".

- MAP/BARO tester connected.

- Digital Volt/Ohm Meter (DVOM) connected to MAP/BARO tester.

- Disconnect MAP/BARO sensor.

- Is green light on?

Yes -- Replace MAP/BARO sensor. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Remove MAP/BARO tester. Reconnect MAP/BARO sensor. Go to pinpoint test step C1. C1 - Check Vehicle Battery Power Circuit
