DA20 - Induce DTC 118 or 113

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 117 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) or 112 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) indicates that the corresponding sensor signal is less than the Self-Test minimum. The IAT and ECT sensor minimum is 0.2 volts.

Possible causes:
- Grounded circuit in harness.

- Faulty sensor.

- Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

- Faulty connection.

- Key "OFF".

- Disconnect vehicle harness from suspect sensor. Inspect for damaged, corroded, pushed out pins or loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Run Key On Engine Off Self-Test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

- Is Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 113 or 118 present?

Yes -- Replace sensor. Reconnect harness. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Go to DA21. DA21 - Check VREF Circuit Voltage At Throttle Position Sensor
