EVAP 6 - Check Canister Purge Solenoid Stuck Open

^ CANP solenoid disconnected.

^ Shut OFF voltage from the voltage source to the CANP solenoid.

^ Apply 53 kPa (16 in Hg) of vacuum to the manifold side of the CANP solenoid with vacuum pump.

^ Does the solenoid open and pass air freely?

YES -- Replace canister purge solenoid.

NO -- Evaporative emission system is functioning properly. Return to diagnostic routines symptom flow charts. Testing and Inspection
