A2 Determine Whether Cause Is Control Module or Wiring

- Install 60-pin breakout box. Make sure the correct Econoline 4WABS overlay is installed.

- Jumper breakout box Pin 20 (lamp ground) to Pin 23 (amber ABS warning lamp input).

- Key ON for 5-10 seconds.

- Key OFF.

- Did the amber ABS warning lamp come On?

YES -- The amber ABS warning lamp comes on brightly. Go to A3. A3 Diagnose Intermittent Wiring Concern

YES -- The amber ABS warning lamp comes on but only dimly. Resistive short to B+ has been detected in Circuit 603 (DG). Repair wiring fault OR repair wiring fault in 14401 harness. Verify concern is resolved, Go to A4. A4 Verify Concern Is Resolved

NO -- Short to B+ in Circuit 603 (DG) has been detected. Find and repair wiring fault. Inspect amber ABS warning lamp fuse and replace if necessary. Verify concern is resolved, Go to A4. A4 Verify Concern Is Resolved
