N1 Check For Fault Repeatability

- Clear all diagnostic trouble codes with the New Generation Star (NGS) tester.

- Drive the vehicle at least 10 mph.

- Pull diagnostic trouble codes with the New Generation Star (NGS) tester.

- Is Code C1230 obtained?

YES -- diagnostic trouble Code C1230 is obtained. Open vehicle speed sensor fault is repeatable. Go to N2. N2 Check VSS Coil Resistance at Control Module Connector

NO -- System Pass is obtained. Vehicle speed sensor concern is intermittent. Key OFF. Go to N6. N6 Begin Intermittent Diagnosis
